The solar Photovoltaic (PV) capacity reached 64.2 gigawatts in 2018. This is enough to power 12.3 million American homes. Strikingly, almost 17% of that capacity was installed just last year! Solar is growing rapidly – it is actually expected to more than double within the next five years alone! This will almost certainly bring prices down further.
